For decades, AICO has stood behind causes larger than furniture. Our commitment to philanthropy spans fundraising walks, blood drives, sponsored tournaments, all kinds of disaster relief, and the Michael Amini Transfusion Medicine Center itself, a facility built to serve patients for generations to come.

AICO & City of Hope

The City of Hope is a major partner and part of AICO's giving. AICO shows up throughout the year, from the AICO All-Stars walking team to blood drives hosted at company headquarters to sponsorship of the West Coast Golf and Tennis Tournament and the industry's Spirit of Life gala.

AICO has hosted blood drives at its Pico Rivera headquarters for close to two decades, welcoming City of Hope's bloodmobile twice a year.

In 2024, 65 AICO team members took part in the Walk for Hope, raising $68,000 for City of Hope.

Michael Amini Transfusion Center

Opened in 2007 and named for AICO's founder, the Michael Amini Transfusion Medicine Center stands as one of City of Hope's most significant facilities, consolidating blood collection, processing, and donor support under one roof. It remains a cornerstone of Michael Amini's philanthropic legacy, built to serve patients well beyond any single donation.

The 60,000-square-foot, LEED-certified facility opened its doors in 2007, consolidating City of Hope's blood collection and processing programs under one roof.

Nearly 170,000 donors gave blood products through the center in its first decade.
